The Renewable Energy India Expo 2025 is likely to attract more than Rs 1,800 crore in fresh investment commitments for India's bioenergy sector, the Indian Biogas Association said on Sunday.

According to the statement, the upcoming three-day-long Renewable Energy India Expo (REI) 2025, scheduled from October 30 to November 1, 2025, at the India Expo Centre, Greater Noida, is poised to unlock more than Rs 1,800 crore in fresh investment commitments for India's bioenergy sector.
With the government scaling up the SATAT scheme (Sustainable Alternative towards Affordable Transportation), commissioning of new compressed biogas (CBG) plants across states, and biogas being recognised as a feedstock for future fuel, including methanol and Di-methyl ether production, the sector is witnessing unprecedented momentum, it added.

As per the industry data analysis of over 4.25 crore shipments by logistics intelligence platform ClickPost, these regions now represent the fastest and largest drivers of festive e-commerce, solidifying non-metro India's role as the epicentre of order volumes and growth.
"The scale of non-metro India is staggering. Tier 3 cities alone accounted for 50.7 per cent of all orders in 2025. Combined with Tier 2 (24.8 per cent), Bharat represents nearly three-quarters (74.7 per cent) of the total order volume, confirming its role as the undisputed engine of e-commerce scale," it said.
Festive demand was further boosted by Durga Puja, which saw fashion orders surge by 14.3 per cent during the pre-Puja week and Karwa Chauth, when cosmetic buys nearly doubled fashion purchases.

Additional electronics consumption worth Rs 20 lakh crore is expected to take place this year due to GST reforms rolled out by the government last month, Union Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Saturday.
The minister said that data from all retail chains shows there were 20-25 per cent more sales in comparison to last Navaratri and there are many such categories, like 85-inch TV where stocks were completely sold out.
"The increase in demand for electronics goods is directly impacting electronics manufacturing. Electronics manufacturing is now growing at a double-digit CAGR.  It is very likely that the consumption will increase more than 10 per cent this year, which means, there is a high possibility of Rs 20 lakh crore extra consumption compared to last year," Vaishnaw said.

Automobile exports from India rose 26 per cent year-on-year in September quarter driven by highest-ever shipments of passenger vehicles, two-wheelers and three-wheelers during the period, as per the latest data released by industry body SIAM.
Passenger vehicle exports grew 23 per cent to 2,41,554 units in September quarter as against 1,96,196 units in the same period of last fiscal.
Passenger car exports grew 20.5 per cent to 1,25,513 units in the second quarter as against 1,04,196 units in the September quarter of last fiscal.
Similarly, utility vehicle shipments rose 26 per cent annually to 1,13,374 units in the July-September period.
Van exports also grew 39 per cent year on year to 2,667 units in the year-ago period.
Maruti Suzuki India led the space with shipments of 2,05,763 units followed by Hyundai Motor India with 99,540 units in the period under review.

The Jain community has put up an impressive show of its formidable buying power by driving home 186 high-end cars after securing discounts of Rs 21 crore.
This "one-of-its-kind deal" with luxury automobile brands like BMW, Audi and Mercedes was pulled off by the Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO), its vice president Himanshu Shah told PTI on Saturday.
JITO is a not-for-profit community body with 65,000 members from across India, he said.
These 186 luxury cars, each priced between Rs 60 lakh and Rs 1.3 crore, were handed over to their owners across India between January and June this year. JITO's nationwide drive helped our members save Rs 21 crore in the form of discounts, said Shah.
He said the organisation was just a facilitator and did not profit from this deal.
The majority of the cars were bought by Gujarat-based Jains, Shah added.
